Building Process
Those who are interested in starting a project with CCR Custom Homes will first be asked to put down a deposit. This deposit will guarantee 45 days of meetings, custom created floor-plans and revisions of your floor-plans based on feedback. You will be able to see exactly what your house will look like with all dimensions included.
After a floor-plan is agreed upon and you are ready to move to the next phase of the process, there will be another deposit made which will guarantee additional documents including all elevation plans, placement on your lot, building envelope, construction specifics which includes all the nitty gritty details such as general theme of house, brands, specs, details that will be used in your home, a cost breakdown, allowances for appliances, lighting etc., and a final contract to build. Once the contract is signed, a 10% down payment of the total cost to build will be due. An additional deposit may be required depending on the level of customization. This will be at the builders discretion.
All deposits or down payments all go toward the final cost of your home.
At any point during the beginning stages you decide to withdraw from the process and move on, all plans created to date will be provided to you to keep.
The beginning stages of building a custom home are very involved, lots of meetings to get to know our clients and learn exactly what they are looking for in their home.
A lot of my time is spent creating, drafting, editing the plans created specifically for the clients. Unlike other corporate builders, I am a very flexible, I work with you directly and I am always available. I am flexible on scheduling meetings, discussing changes or ideas via phone calls when they arise and on any questions or concerns you many have on the deposits or down payments.
I am also flexible during the actual construction of your house. If you see something (within reason and the scope of the contract) that you would like to tweak or change, let’s talk about it. I am more than happy to work through this process with you.
This is a partnership that I take very seriously and hope that each of my clients do as well. Building a home takes a lot of patience, care and most importantly communication.
